The Apostle

The word Apostle comes from the Greek word “Apostolos” (ἀπόστολος) which means “a sent one”.

This is a very unique office among the 5-Fold. The Apostle is the ONLY one who is enabled by the Lord Jesus to build the Body of Christ through adapting to any office within the 5-Fold ministry.

The Apostle is a crucial office in the administration of the purposes of God on the face of the Earth. The Apostle is graced by the Lord Jesus to establish and plant the believers in the Faith. (Romans 1:5)

The Apostolic office is a foundational office that works alongside the Prophetic office to edify and build the Body of Christ. (Ephesians 2:20)

The Prophet

The word Prophet means “a spokesman” or “mouthpiece”.

The scripture has shown us that there are not just Prophets from God (Jehovah) but Prophets of other gods (False gods) and that includes The Prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:40) , The Prophets of Asheteroth (1 Kings 18:19) which are usually known as False Prophets. 

The Prophet is one who is to bring the mind and the heart of God about different problems whether in the church or the world. 

The Prophet is Foundational and works alongside The Apostle in the building of the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:20)

The Evangelist

The Only time in scripture the office of the Evangelist was mentioned is in Acts 21:8 and we can learn a few things from Phillip’s life to understand who an Evangelist is.

The Evangelist is one who has a heart and passion to preach Christ, to the end that many will know that Jesus is still alive with the demonstration of the Spirit and Power. (Acts 8)

The Pastor

The Pastor is one who has the responsibility to feed the people of God (sheep) with knowledge and understanding, so that they can know the ways of God and keep His commandments (Jeremiah 3:15) 

The Teacher

The Teacher is one who is responsible to teach and wash the people of God with the WORD of God, so that they will be grounded in truth and love, resulting in a bride without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:26-27) (John 13:13) (James 3:1)
